Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department x Purist Group Backpack event.

In January of this year, Industry Sheriff’s Station learned that the annual ‘Back to School Readiness’ event hosted by San Gabriel Pomona Regional Center (SGPRC) for their clients was at risk of
being cancelled due to a lack of funding. They decided to partner with the Purist Group (car enthusiasts who are passionate about giving back to their community) to fulfill the need by furnishing the much needed school supplies
.
The SGPRC is a nonprofit corporation which serves clients who have developmental disabilities attributable to: intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and autism. This was a fun filled day with special sights as sheriff’s patrol units form a convoy with high end show cars to drive from the City of Industry to the Regional Center bringing the school supplies. They met with hundreds of clients and their families, who were also treated to a special meal and ice cream.
